Hi, I'm Olivia
I serve pregnant mothers who are looking to prepare for birth in a way that suits their personality and helps them to confidently enjoy waiting for their baby to arrive.
I coach mothers to be their own birth gurus.

I give you the tools to trust and work instinctively with your body during labour and birth. I teach you to use safe and powerful relaxation, visualisation and breathing techniques that bathe you and your baby in some seriously good feelings. I show you ways to stay in charge of your birth experience and train up your birth partner to be an amazing ally and source of calm support.
I come to you and make sure that your birth preparation suits you because that is when it works best. You can curl up on your own sofa drinking your favourite tea with your dog next to you and ask me everything you have ever wanted to know about growing that beautiful baby and getting it out and into your arms. People hire me when they want private, holistic support during pregnancy and birth. This might be alongside a group antenatal course or our sessions may stand alone. I was trained by Maggie Howell, founder of Natal Hypnotherapy, to teach hypnotherapy for childbirth. I have been trained as a doula by Michel Odent on the Paramana doula information course in 2014 and on the BirthBliss course by doula Kikki Hansard in 2016. I am a recognised member of Doula UK and am passionate about integrating the benefits of doula care into the wider maternity landscape. I have practised yoga and meditation for 16 years and this forms the bedrock of my ability to provide calm, nurturing support for you during pregnancy and birth. I approach pregnancy wellbeing holistically and can signpost to good sources of information about nutrition and alternative therapies. I regularly continue my professional development at birth conferences and study days and of course, my clients are my best teachers. When I am not supporting mothers or writing my blog I can be found with my family, who are my events-entrepreneur husband; 8 year old daughter, 4 year old son, one growing bump due Summer 2020 and too many pets. It is a busy, noisy, big-hearted household that I am head-over-heels with. I really understand the balancing act that mothers play out day to day because I am doing it myself. One minute you are pulling off a business project, the next minute you are helping with a finger painting masterpiece. If not on call close to home, you might find me getting in some blue-sky thinking beach time in our favourite get-away places, currently the wild west coast of Scotland or the sun-soaked north of Ibiza. There is nothing on this planet that makes me happier than watching my barefoot children playing on a beach. |
